TEXAS (KXXV) -

The strange-looking Portuguese Man 'o War has been washing up on the shores of Padre Island recently.

The National Parks Service said even if the venomous sea creature is dead and washed up on the beach, it can still sting you.

The Man 'o War looks and stings like a jellyfish, but is actually made up of four different organisms that live together to survive.

Be sure to keep your distance if you see these creatures during a trip to the beach.
