Albert Finney, 'Daddy Warbucks' in Annie, has died at age 82

The family of British actor Albert Finney announced he has died.

Finney was 82 years old. He starred in many movies, being best known for "Tom Jones," "Murder on the Orient Express," "Annie," and "Erin Brockovich" — to name a few. He portrayed Daddy Warbucks, who adopts an orphan, in "Annie."

The actor was a five-time Oscar nominee. His first film appearance was in "The Entertainer" in 1960. Finney's break-out role followed when he appeared in "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning," and then he starred in "Tom Jones."

Finney's family said he died peacefully after a brief illness, the BBC reports. He was married to his wife Pene Delmage in 2006. He has two previous wives, Anouk Aimee and Jane Wenham.

The actor has two sons, Simon and Michael.
