A suspect was arrested after police say the suspect led them on a pursuit on Thursday.

According to Moody police, they were assisting on a call of a suspicious person or vehicle and a pursuit started from Bruceville-Eddy to Troy.

To end the pursuit, an officer performed a pit maneuver causing the suspect to crash out. The suspect then fled on foot in a short chase.

With assistance from the Department of Public Safety, the suspect was caught after being tased.

The patrol vehicle that performed the pit maneuver still works but has some cosmetic damage. A vehicle estimate and insurance claim has already been started.

Officials said although it was damaged, it was an important tool for the suspect to be apprehended.

It was later found out that the suspect had a felony warrant and the vehicle was stolen out of Temple on Wednesday.
