Summer may be months away, but parents are making plans for camp now. Spots can fill up fast for many programs, but finding a good fit is critical.
"We are getting so many more applications than ever. We have so many camps that are filling up. If you want to get out to camp this summer, you have to get on to it now,” said Kaytlyn Warner, manager of Girl Scouts Camp Kachina.
Camps offer activities fostering every interest, new experiences and friendships.
“During summer camp you usually get to create new friendships with people you don’t know and you learn a whole bunch of other new skills that you didn’t know you had,” said Kaitlyn Atwood, a Girl Scout.
The Girl Scouts camp is also in need of counselors. Interested applicants can apply on the organization’s website.
