Itasca Independent School District will be temporarily closed as many students battle illnesses.
Superintendent Mark Parsons said all classes on Feb. 7 and 8 are canceled, as well as any extracurricular activities on Thursday.
Parsons said the closure will allow for extensive cleaning of the campuses and recovery time for those who are sick.
Activities will resume at the end of the school day on Friday.
