WACO, Texas – 10th-ranked Baylor men’s tennis (6-0) looks to extend its strong start to the season with a Sunday doubleheader against Nebraska and UTRGV at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. CT at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
Coming off Friday’s 6-1 win over South Florida, the Bears are 20-1 in their last 21 home matches dating back to the 2017 season and look to improve on their perfect 4-0 start in Waco.
Three Bears improved on their perfect dual-match singles records on Friday, including Sven Lah (6-0), Jimmy Bendeck (4-0) and Will Little (4-0).
Nebraska comes into the match with a 3-3 overall record and most recently a 6-1 home win over UMKC. The Bears and Cornhuskers last faced off on April 30, 2010 as Big 12 foes. Baylor holds a 21-3 all-time series lead over Nebraska and is on a 21-match winning streak against the Cornhuskers.
Formally UT-Pan American, the UTRGV Vaqueros come into Sunday’s match with a 2-3 season record. The Bears hold a 13-10 all-time lead with BU winning the last meeting between these two programs, which was a 7-0 victory on Feb. 16, 2013. Baylor is 8-0 against UTRGV since 1994.
