Police have arrested a person accused of stabbing a man who was waiting to use an ATM on Northgate over the weekend.

The incident was captured on surveillance video from the Northgate Parking Garage cameras. Police said 19-year-old Kevin Alejandro Ramos, of Navasota, is seen stabbing a man who was waiting to use the ATM outside Rebel's Draft House.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim told officers he was leaning against a pole while waiting when he was attacked from behind around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. He then ran into the intersection where he called for help.

The victim was stabbed in the back of the head and had multiple knife injuries on his arms and shoulders.

The man who was using the ATM at the time of the attack told officers he heard a commotion as he was depositing his tip money from working as a bartender. He turned around and saw Ramos holding a knife in his hand as the victim was running away.

He told police he was afraid Ramos was going to attack him.

The arrest affidavit says the man told Ramos, "please don't, I have a wife," to which Ramos responded "Give me what you have. I want to get out of here."

The man then gave Ramos the $45 he had in his hand before Ramos ran off.

The stabbing victim was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he received four staples for his head injury.

Police reviewed the surveillance video, which confirmed the reports of both victims. Through the video, investigators were able to locate Ramos' vehicle and eventually learn his identity.

Ramos was arrested Saturday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated robbery. He was released from the Brazos County Jail Wednesday morning on a $20,000 bond.
