The Waco-McLennan County Library offers programs for all walks of life, including those with special needs.

Life learning at the Library is a program for adults with special needs to hear stories, make crafts, and learn skills that they can use every day. While programs for children and seniors are easy for the library to organize, creating programs like this is a way for the library to serve groups that may not use the library often.

Jessica Emmett of the Waco-McLennan County Library says the library looks for unique ways to serve the community.

“We kind of want to look for populations that might not be served by our traditional library services, and we want to cater our programs to those people as well,” Emmett said.

Life Learning at the Library takes meets once a month at the Waco-McLennan County Library. You can learn more about Life Learning at the Library by visiting the Waco-McLennan County Library website, or you can e-mail the library at WMCLcommunityservices@wacotx.gov.
