Ennis police believe they found body of missing mother

The Ennis Police Department found a dead body of a woman meeting the description of a missing mother.

According to police, on Monday, search volunteers found a dead body meeting the description of 38-year-old Emily Wade. The body was found in a creek bed that was known to be flooding on the night Wade went missing.

The body will be transported to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's office for positive identification and determination on the cause of death.

Ennis police said they would like to share their appreciation for all the volunteers and assisting agencies that have been searching for Wade for the past two weeks.

They said their thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Wade.
