The East Waco Library has launched their Adulting 101 program to teach teenage students life skills that are not always taught in a school classroom.

As a four-part series, the library will hold free classes every second Tuesday of the month, starting at 4 p.m. The topics will include applying to college, budgeting and household skills.

"The Adulting 101 program was kind of designed to help give kids a leg up with these kinds of skills so that they're not completely on their own the first time they're trying to face these challenges once they're adults," said Rachel Macklin, Teen Services Librarian for the Waco Public Library.

The final class is set for April 9, but the library says that it could extend the program until May.
