The Baylor Bears are coming off a huge win over number 20 Iowa State on Tuesday. But, they have an even bigger test Saturday afternoon.
Number 7 Kansas is headed to Waco. The Jayhawks are sporting a younger roster than in years past and play a more 4 out 1 in style of basketball.
They've suffered their first Big 12 loss of the year on the road at Iowa State, but were able to bounce back at home against TCU.
All that said, the Bears cannot come into this one riding the high from their big victory Tuesday.
"We talked about earlier with the SFA game, we came off the big Arizona win and then next game, our energy wasn't that high. Our intensity wasn't that high. We weren't as locked in were against Arizona, so I feel like every single game we gotta bring that same focus," King McClure, a senior guard for the Bears, said.
Head Coach Scott Drew is leaning on his veteran to keep the team in check, and King McClure said their number one issue: focusing on focusing.
"You have more pep in your step coming off a win. At the same time, I think the concentration, being prepared and knowing the importance of each and every game, that's why you have to have good veterans. We don't have a lot, but King does a great job making sure everybody's focused and knows the importance of each and every game, and makes sure they stay locked in on attention to detail, scouting report stuff," Coach Drew said.
Tip off is set for 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Ferrell Center.
