FAIRFIELD, OH (WXIX/CNN) - A substitute teacher in Fairfield, Ohio, is out of a job after students said he was touching himself inappropriately in class.

One student even caught the behavior on his cell phone.

Fairfield police charged the man after he allegedly touched himself during school hours while students were in his classroom.

"He just, I see his arm moving and it distracted me, it caught my eye. And, I just look at him and I say 'hey, what are you doing' and he told me to mind my own business," a student said.

Police and school officials both released statements confirming that 41-year-old Tracey Abraham was not to return to school grounds after police marched him out the door and straight to the Fairfield Municipal Court.

"The principal told him that they want to talk to him outside of the room. When he came back inside to get his phone, the resource officer was with them. And then detectives came in the school," the student said.

The student we spoke with is also responsible for recording the video. In it, you can see Abraham looking at his phone and behind the blur his left arm is moving under the table.

"Pretty surprised, I didn't think nobody would do that, especially a teacher. I thought the teachers would have better background checks and all that," a student said.

Since Abraham was contracted through the Butler County Educational Services Center, it is the entity that would have run his background check.

In a statement from the school, officials said Abraham would not be returning to teach in Fairfield.

The district added they were not aware of any physical contact or any student being exposed to nudity.

Abraham now faces one count of public indecency.

He is expected back in court on Jan. 15.
