Sheriff's office: Man arrested after stealing vehicle, 6 firearms

A man was arrested and charged after police said he stole a vehicle, firearms and was positively identified as the suspect of a previous robbery.

According to the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9 a.m. on Monday they were dispatched to the 6000 block of FM 2657 in response to a report of a stolen car.

The owner reported that the vehicle was stolen from his property and that a number of firearms were stolen from him as well.

At approximately 10 a.m., Killeen police located and stopped the vehicle. 32-year-old Emmanuel Harris was arrested from the vehicle and taken to the Bell County Jail.

Investigators then positively identified the recovery of the stolen vehicle, six stolen firearms, two stolen computers and a box of stolen jewelry.

Investigators were also able to positively identify Harris as the suspect in the J. Mart robbery on Sunday.

Harris was charged with theft of a vehicle, theft of a firearm, burglary of a habitation and robbery.
