Harley-Davidson of Waco hopes to find more shelter pups a loving home.

The business hosted a Hogs and Dogs event on Saturday that gave folks the chance to stop by with their current furry friends, enjoy a free hot dog and even learn some new training methods with PetSmart.

The Humane Society of Central Texas had several dogs and cats to adopt out to good homes.

Harley-Davidson of Waco hopes to host "Hogs & Dogs" the first Saturday of every month, featuring new shelter animals every time.

The event ended on a high note as one lucky pup did get adopted.

Leigh Campbell the Event Coordinator for Hogs and Dogs said Harley-Davidson of Waco loves their dogs and is always welcoming pups into the store, they decided to create an event for a good cause.

"We have done a Hogs and Dogs event in the past but this year we are looking to do it the first Saturday of every month," Campbell said.

Campbell said the importance of this event is not only community outreach but making the community aware of the need for shelter dogs to be adopted.
