Fuzzy Friends Rescue will raise more than 60 percent of its annual operating costs during its New Year's Eve Barkin' Ball.

The event is completely sold out for yet another year. The thousands of dollars brought in from the Barkin' Ball will go toward saving hundreds of Waco's abandoned dogs and cats.

Bambi Eskew, a Fuzzy Friends board member, said they saved more than 800 animals in 2018 alone.

"It warms your heart, makes you feel good," Eskew said. "It makes you feel like you have another good year coming for you. 2019 is going to be a great year for us and everybody else in Waco, so we look forward to making it a great night."

The Barkin' Ball has been voted the Best Charity Event in Waco for the last 11 years by the Wacoan.
