A homeowner in Pennsylvania is fed up with porch pirates stealing unopened packages throughout the holiday season.

According to RochesterFirst, 61-year-old Robert Lynch has had thieves break into his car twice within the past three years.

The first time, he had about $60 worth of change stolen. The second time, he had about $500 worth of tools stolen.

Lynch said he had had enough, so he was going to give a porch pirate a gift.

He left boxes filled with kitty litter and feces out on his porch for someone to steal. With his new surveillance cameras, he said he was able to look and laugh at whoever took the boxes.

Police told Lynch that as long as he isn’t harming anyone, he can leave whatever he wants on his porch.

There is now a trend in the neighborhood, thanks to Lynch. Other neighbors are also filling boxes with garbage and seeing if porch pirates will take them.
