The Clifton Police Department located two skimmers at two different gas stations on Tuesday.

According to police, they received reports of fraudulent charges being made on citizens’ debit cards. After an investigation, it was determined that the reporting parties had all purchased fuel from an Ace convenience store.

Technicians conducted a search of the internal components of the fuel pumps and located a skimmer. They then removed the skimmer and gave it to police.

A second skimmer was located and removed from a Chevron at Hwy 6 and 219 Tuesday evening.

If anyone has used their debit or credit cards at both locations, you should view statements an communicate with your financial institution to ensure there were no fraudulent charges.
