The Freestone County Sheriff’s Office has advised that the explosions that may have been heard was a specialized training.
According to the sheriff’s office, the explosions happened before 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The specialized training involved different law enforcement agencies from out of the county.
Law enforcement is aware that three counties heard some of the detonations. They want everyone to know that all is OK.
They said as, with many training exercises, it’s important for law enforcement to keep locations, times, activity and procedures, confident in order to prevent unwanted persons, curious bystanders an anyone or anything else that can distract or interfere with the training at hand.
