Military Officers Association of America partnered with the Good Soldier Foundation to present the Spirit of America Medal and Certificate of Merit to the Veterans One Stop.
The award was given to Veterans One Stop for its time and compassion the organization has invested in the community.
The presentation was dedicated to the memory of Corporal Mary, who was an Army troop transport driver during the Iraq War. Coming back from War, she would struggle with war wounds and PTSD, becoming homeless shortly before passing away. The war hero was honored at the banquet.
Veterans One Stop was humbled to receive the medal, and a spokesperson for the organization says that they are just doing what is needed in their community.
