Since 1989, H-E-B has been serving free dinners to communities in Texas and Mexico.
With an approximate 250,000 dinners served a year in over 30 cities, the 11th annual H-E-B Feast of Sharing Dinner for Killeen was held Tuesday evening.
With more than 5,000 dinners made for local residents in attendance, it was a warm start to the holiday season.
Though this year the dinner was only half the draw to the event.
Those in attendance all had the opportunity to get a free flu shot, as well as look into local community health services.
Information was available on free clinics, screenings and even preventative care. They also had free female hygiene products, vitamins, baby formula and more.
All in an effort to keep the community healthy today, and strong tomorrow.
