The Nurse-Family Partnership hosted its annual Christmas party and tree decorating contest Friday.

They invited first-time moms and their babies between newborn and 2 years old. The Baylor Scott and White Nurse-Family Partnership is a free community health care program that gives support for expecting first-time moms.

There were many families at the event, winning Christmas trees, decorating cookies, meeting Santa and having a good time as a community.

This party is to bring all the mom's in the program together, reconnect with the nurses who helped them start off the career of being a mom.

"Just know that their important to us," Daryl Meyer, program coordinator said. "We really enjoy the relationship. We enjoy spending time with them, we enjoy getting to know them and seeing their family grow.'
