The Salvation Army in Temple is reaching out to the community to help bring a Christmas miracle to little angels in need.

Friday was the last day to purchase gifts for The Salvation Army of Temple’s annual angel tree program, but people can still help out financially.

With over 700 children expecting gifts on Christmas morning, The Salvation Army is asking for the community’s help to make that miracle happen.

They have received donations for over 600 little angels but the still need to purchase clothes and gifts for almost 150 forgotten angels.

“The financial donations coming from the community for angel tree will help us to completely fill up this room. So, we can empty it out on distribution day to all the families that are excited about getting toys and clothes for Christmas,” said Lt. Chantel Millin, Commanding officer of Salvation Army of Temple Texas.

The Salvation Army said all the money donated will go to the angel tree fund or to replenish funds used from other programs to cover the remaining cost of the angel tree purchases.

“We are grateful again, to be able to serve in this way and for the support of all those who have adopted and those who have given financially. And, we’re grateful for all the things that will come in the future because again it’s a Christmas miracle that is created every year,” said Lt. Millin.

If you would like to help, you can donate to The Salvation Army of Temple.
