Folks in Temple were feeling the holiday spirit and opening their wallets for a good cause on Thursday.

United Way of Central Texas partnered up with Horny Toad Harley Davidson in Temple to hold their eighth annual Chrome and Carols fundraiser.

For just $55, people were treated to food, drinks and fun all while participating in raffles and both a live and silent auction.

United Way said the fundraiser is a great way to give back during the holidays.

“It is an overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and gratitude to be able to part of such an amazing community that is willing to come up an support each other,” said Veshell Greene, Director of Public Relations of United Way of Central Texas.

All the money raised on Thursday will go to help the United Way of Central Texas in their mission to help the community.

In past they were able to raise over $50,000.
