BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M’s Bobby Brown, Jashaun Corbin, Tyree Johnson and Seth Small were voted to the Southeastern Conference’s All-Freshman Team by the league’s head coach, the conference office announced Thursday.

Brown terrorized offensive lines in his first season in Aggieland, registering 14 tackles, a tackle for loss and one quarterback hurry. Brown recorded multi-tackle games on five occasions including games at South Carolina and Auburn.

Corbin earned all-freshman honors as a running back and return specialist. The dual-threat back has rushed for 305 yards on 57 attempts with a touchdown. As the Aggies’ main kickoff returner, Corbin returned 11 kicks for 340 yards, including a 100-yarder for a touchdown to start the game against Arkansas.

Johnson has tallied 13 tackles, two tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two quarterback hurries and forced a fumble. Against ULM, Johnson recorded a season-high four tackles with a half tackle for loss and a QB hurry. He registered his first sack against UAB for an eight-yard loss and followed up against No. 8 LSU with a half-sack.

Small, who stepped into the starting role after 2017 Lou Groza Award semifinalist Daniel LaCamera suffered a season-ending injury, has connected on 19-of-26 field goals and all 34 extra point attempts. Small drilled a season-high 52-yarder at Alabama and matched the effort at South Carolina, a game in which he made four attempts.

Texas A&M returns to action December 31 at 6:30 p.m. as the Aggies take on North Carolina State at the Taxslayer Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla. Tickets for the game can be purchased online at www.12thMan.com/bowltickets.
