Trees for Troops have donated hundreds of trees to be given away to Fort Hood soldiers on Thursday.

Trees for Troops, a program of the Christmas Spirit Foundation, provides free, farm-grown Christmas trees to memberships in all branches of the U.S. military and their families, through donations, sponsorships, grants and the work of the many volunteers.

"Right now its a little bit tight, but we get a lot of help from people and their donations so it is nice," Military Spouse, Yhadira Bausanta said.

Since 2005, more than 191,000 free, farm-grown Christmas trees have been provided to troops and military families in the United States and overseas through Tree for Troops.

"This will be our first Christmas that we won't spend together and so we are still keeping the spirits up. You know, we are just getting trees and decorating the house and I send him a lot of pictures of Bryson helping me decorate and so he is still here in my heart," Military Spouse, Davana Gulino said.
