There was a line of people waiting to see Santa with their four-legged friends in tow Monday evening.

For the last few weeks, furry friends have been invited to stop by and visit with Santa at the Richland Mall.

Many dog parents couldn't wait to get a photo. Some even dressed their pets up for the occasion.

"We're going to post it, send it with Christmas cards for all my family up in Indiana," said Sue Cooper, who brought her two rescue dogs in.

"We just wanted to start a new holiday tradition with our six-month-old puppy," said Shannon Williams, who dressed her pup up for the photoshoot. "I've been doing it for about 17 years with my other dog and it was just time to start a new tradition."

The photographers used treats and stuffed animals to get the perfect photo.

Dec. 10 is your last chance to bring your dog or cat in to see Santa.

Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier and pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Pets will not be allowed in any area of the mall other than the designated Santa photo area.
