Just days away from Black Friday, Ernst Jacques knew exactly what he planned to buy.

"I'm very excited about this new TV I've been wanting to buy for over a year now. It's a Samsung TV," said Jacques.

He said last year he missed his big chance.

"Because the line was so long, and this year I'm going to get there as early as possible, so I don't miss anything," said Jacques.

Jacques said this year he is prepared.

"I already have my backpack ready with water, food, all kinds of stuff," said Jacques.

Meanwhile, other shoppers said they were eyeballing the Black Friday deals already on the shelf.

"A lot of stores will say that their sales start the Monday before and run the Friday or Saturday of Black Friday. So, it' s nice to be able to come out and take a look at that," said holiday shopper Steve Jacobs.

Stores like Walmart, Best Buy, Target and more have kept shoppers in mind for a while.

"Preparations begin as early as September for in the store. As far as inventory, that doesn't come until much later. But obviously, our preparations happen way before," said Target store manager Katrino Garcia.

Shoppers said they are excited about the big day, big savings and even bigger deals.

"I feel like they're giving back to you know us. You know it's a good deal. You don't find those deals every day," said Jacques.
