Lorenzo, the McLane Children's Medical Center facility dog, celebrated his third birthday this week. Lorenzo III turned 3 on Nov. 17.
The Canine Companions for Independence facility dog is trained to assist the medical center’s Child Life Program and has been a wonderful addition to the McLane Children’s staff. Lorenzo’s sweet snuggles help patients cope during difficult experiences (IV starts, stitches, physical therapy, traumas) and he provides support to our chronic and long-term population.
Happy Birthday, Lorenzo! Keep up the great work!
