People across America took to the streets Thursday to protest the firing of U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Several people gathered in downtown Belton to voice their opinions in hopes of protecting the Mueller investigation.

Many of whom carrying signs that said “protect the rule of law” and even some comparing the act to Nazis in World War II.

Many of the protesters said they believe the firing of Sessions was a blatant attempt to stop the Mueller investigation.

“So, we’re out here for the rule of law and the freedom of the press and all those things that make America the country that it is,” said protester William Rosenberg.

Some protesters said they will stay in the fight until something changes, adding, they believe there needs to be a check on President Trump.
