Former Baylor football player defeats incumbent for U.S. House seat

Former Baylor football player Colin Allred defeated incumbent Pete Sessions in Texas' 32nd District.

Allred took 52.2 percent of the vote over Sessions' 45.9 percent. 

Dallas-native Allred played football at Baylor from 2001-2005. 

Waco-born Sessions joined Congress in 1996, serving Texas' 5th District. In 2002, he began representing the 32nd District.
