TxDOT said they will close Tree Lake Dr. at FM 1637 on Sunday, Nov. 4 through Wednesday, Nov. 8. The closure is part of the ongoing upgrade project for FM 1637.
The construction will begin midnight on Sunday and remain closed until Wednesday afternoon, weather permitting.
The ongoing 2.1-mile $11.4M project, designed to increase safety and efficiency, is widening the two-lane FM facility to a four-lane roadway with a raised median, from FM 2490 (Wortham Bend Drive) to FM 185 (North River Crossing). It is scheduled for completion in the Winter of 2019, weather permitting.
Motorists can expect to encounter flaggers and temporary delays within the project area, for the duration of the project. TxDOT cautions motorists to be alert for construction personnel and equipment in the work areas.
