Americans typically celebrate National Arbor Day in April. However, according to Temple Parks and Recreation, many states observe Arbor Day on different days based on the best time of year to plant trees.
This morning, Temple Parks and Recreation and Tarver Elementary School celebrated Arbor Day with a tree planting ceremony.
Teachers and students planted three trees on the school's campus, and students shared what they believe is the most important thing about trees.
