Asphalt will be being placed on the surface of the main-lanes of SH6/Loop 340 prompting closures from Oct. 29 at 7 a.m. to Nov. 2.
The frontage roads will then receive a final asphalt surface the week of Nov. 5 through 9.
This signifies the completion is soon to come on the ongoing multi-phase project to increase safety and efficiency by extending frontage roads along Loop 340, from I-35 northeast to US 77, as well as adding an overpass at Old Robinson Road.
The project is scheduled for completion in late Fall of this year, weather permitting.
All on the road should still expect temporary single lane closures, flaggers and temporary delays within the project area between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Officials cautions motorists to be alert for construction personnel and equipment in the work areas.
