A man was arrest and charged on Thursday after police say he committed the offense of theft of a firearm in October 2016.

According to the affidavit, on Oct. 23, 2016, the Bell County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a business in Rogers, Texas, for a burglary of a habitation call.

When deputies arrived, they met with the victim who said someone stole a firearm, bobcat mound and rattlesnake mound from his business.

The victim also stated that when he went to his house, there were other items missing from his bedroom. There was no sign of forced entry into either place.

The victim stated that there were only a few people to have the keys for the shop and his home. He told deputies and they conducted an investigation.

On Oct. 25, 2016, investigators brought in Dayton Parker and questioned him. It was later found out by Troy police that Blake White and his juvenile brother were attempting to sell stolen guns that Parker had been seen with at the residence.

Investigators went to the house where the Whites reside, and their grandmother gave them permission to search her home. They found several animal mounds and a rifle in White’s bedroom.

A statement was given to investigators saying Parker and White sold several guns and the guns that were not sold were returned to White’s house.

Investigators found the individuals to which the guns were sold to, and one person said they bought the gun from Parker. Others came forward with information.

White was arrested and charged on Thursday.

He was booked into the Bell County Jail. His bond is set at $52,000.
