Looking for plans this Halloween?

The City of Waco Parks and Recreation Department have several fun-filled and safe events to choose from to celebrate Halloween this year.

  • October 25, Thursday at 6 p.m. there will be a Halloween Festival at Dewey Community Center located at 925 N. 9th St. This event is free and open to all ages.
  • October 26, Friday at 6 p.m. there will be a Haunted Hike with the Park Rangers, beginning at Redwood Shelter located at 2300 Cameron Park Dr. The hike is free to attend, costumes are encouraged and its open to all ages. The Rangers will stick to the paved trails, so weather shouldn’t affect the hike.
  • October 29, Monday at 6 p.m. there will be a Trunk or Treat in South Waco at the South Waco Rec. Center located at 2815 Speight Avenue. The Trunk or Treat is free and open to all ages.
  • And on October 31, Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. the Bledsoe Miller Recreation Center will be holding a Trunk or Treat located at 300 N Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The event is free and open to all ages.

Whatever you choose to do this Halloween, there are plenty of opportunities to have a spooky good time this year!
