The Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take-Back Day is a day dedicated to the proper collection and disposal of old and expired prescription drugs.

With the proper use of prescriptions being paramount to society, this day aids in keeping our people, environment and water sources clean.

This year National Take-Back Day is on Saturday, but the Baylor University Police Department (BUPD) will begin accepting old and expired prescription drugs starting Monday, giving our community ample time to participate.

BUPD will be at Speight Avenue Parking Garage, 1521 S. Fourth St. from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Last year alone, the BUPD collected approximately 120 pounds of prescription drugs for proper disposal.
