A man was arrested after chasing a Killeen Animal Services officer on Oct. 10.

Killeen police said that it happened in the area of Wolf Street and Hallmark Avenue. The victim called police and said that an angry citizen, identified as Marcus Hunter, 22, was chasing his vehicle.

An officer initiated a traffic stop and Hunter exited his vehicle and began yelling at the officer.

The victim told police that he had been dispatched to the 500 block of Priest Drive in reference to a loose dog. After securing the loose puppy, as well as finding several malnourished puppies in a yard nearby, the victim knocked on the door of the home. Hunter was one of several who answered the door and threatened the victim, telling them that if they did not return the puppy, Hunter would shoot them.

Hunter is being held at the Bell County Jail on a retaliation charge. His bond is set at $100,000.
