One of Waco's biggest event of the year has folks flocking downtown for a shopping and entertainment experience.

The Magnolia Silobration has begun at the Silos, drawing people from far and near.

Several streets blocked off here to make room for this huge event, that brings in people, and craftspeople from around the country.

The crowds gathered early for this event, which blocked off a few streets downtown along the 4th, 5th and 6th street corridor near Webster.

Of course, parking filled up fast, but a steady turnover means, if you're patient, you'll find a space, paid or even free.

This event features lots of entertainment and plenty of places to take a break and rest.

People come here to shop... and they shop with a vengeance, and maybe get a glimpse of the patron saints of home makeovers, Chip and Joanna Gaines.

That's what Colleen Webbles from Rochester, Minnesota came to do.

"Just see what it's all about. I've watched the show for several years and I love to shop and yeah, I read a blog and we're gonna drive around and see a few homes that have been re-done," she said.

Again, you'll want to get here early and allow plenty of time, because there are lots to do and see here.

Silobration is a three-day event, taking place Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

If you have to park and walk for the event, don't worry, golf cart shuttles will get you safely to and from the event.
