October is Women in Small Business Month and Central Texans are celebrating.
On Wednesday, women gathered at the Central Texas Business Resource Center for the start of a two-day business boot camp.
The Women's Entrepreneurial Boot Camp event focused on women thinking about becoming business owners.
"I think it's good to see other women and let people know that women can get along in business and we need each other's support," said Michaela Smith, owner of R&M Smith Designs.
Business owners spoke about being your own boss, marketing, finance and more.
The workshop will pick up again on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
