The Coryell County Sherrif's Office rescued two men who attempted to rescue cattle due to flood waters on Wednesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, two men were stuck on a piece of land after attempting to rescue cattle without help. The two men were later rescued on a kayak.

The cattle belong to the Peacock River Ranch and they said there are about eight or nine cows who are out there. There are also calves in the herd that they were worried about.

The cattle are still stuck on a piece of land. It is up to the owners to rescue them.

Gatesville police, Coryell County Sheriff's Office and the Fort Hood Fire Department were on the scene.
