UMHB remains undefeated on the year after beating Howard Payne 55-0 Saturday.

Head Coach Pete Fredenburg said his team still has aspects of the game to work on however.

Coach Fredenburg wishes his offense would've been less erratic against Howard Payne and would've looked more for methodical pass/run plays.

But, the big win shed some light on the Cru's dominate defense.

UMHB is currently 21 minutes and 28 seconds away from beating an unofficial school record of the longest team shut-out streak.

The last time a team scored on the Cru was when Southwestern found the end zone in the first quarter back on Sept. 29.

"If you're going to continue to grow and develop and have a long run, you gotta have a team chemistry. And for the offense to be able to depend on the defense which opens up their opportunities to be a little more elaborate, a little more dynamic and know that they can do some things. It's just one of those things that they compliment each other, and it certainly helps the football team develop the chemistry and the camaraderie that you have to have," Coach Fredenburg said.

The Cru's next test is against Belhaven in Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday. Kick off is set for noon.
