A suspect is in custody after a stabbing near a Waco restaurant on Thursday afternoon.
Waco police said they received a call that a man had been stabbed and was in the parking lot of BJ's Brewhouse at 5959 W. Waco Dr. The man told police he had been stabbed by someone he is in a relationship with.
Authorities say the suspect, Brandon Burney, stabbed the victim, causing minor injury. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
McLennan County Deputies located him in the Bellmead area. Burney is charged with aggravated assault, family violence.
