Tuesday is the last day to register to vote in the state of Texas. In celebration of the final day, a local Bell County resident partnered with Starbucks to hold Voter-Palooza.

Texas Silver-Haired Legislature representative Irene Andrews organized the event.

"Today I want to make sure everyone is engaged in the political process of registering to vote and then being able to get out to the polls and make your voice heard," said Andrews.

"You can come and register if you need a change of address, if you're a new register if you've moved here and you have a physical address. We want you to come out. We want you to be able to have your voice on Nov. 6 when you're able to vote," said Anita Corbin, Voter-Palooza Harker Heights lead.

Killeen resident Chelsey Maida was one of many who decided to register on the last day.

"I feel like I'm just doing my duty to help put my voice out there and you know do what I got to do as a citizen of this country," said Maida.

The event is happening at nine Starbucks locations across Bell County and residents have until 9 p.m. to visit those locations and make sure they are registered to vote.
