Police looking for suspicious vehicle; driver caught spotlighting homes, buildings

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was seen spotlighting a building located in the middle of 5th St. North of Zulch, Tx.

When the Deputy attempted to approach the vehicle, the vehicle ran a stop sign located at 5th St. and FM 39. The pickup turned south on FM 39 towards Grimes County. The deputy then attempted to perform a traffic a stop while following the vehicle at high speeds. The suspicious vehicle turned onto Pleasant Grove Rd. and was lost.  

Several agencies including Madisonville Police Department, Texas Highway Patrol along with Grimes County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist.

The truck resembled a suspicious vehicle that was previously reported seen on Lee Ln. The truck was also spotlighting a residence. Unfortunately, the pickup was gone before Deputies arrived.

The vehicle is described as a late 90's to 2006 F-150 or 250, Dark blue, Gray, or Black in color, aftermarket rims dark in color with large tires and a spotlight on the driver's side

The vehicle could possibly be in Madison County or Grimes County. The sheriff's office believes the individual(s) know this area and are possibly going to be involved in thefts and or burglaries. If you know who this vehicle could belong to or where it is located, you are asked to call Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 936-348-2755 and speak to either Investigator Lawrenz or Sgt. Ogle.
