League of Women Voters holds 1st of 2 candidate forums

The League of Women Voters of Midland held  the first of two public forums before November's election on October 2.

Dozens of Midland residents showed up to ask local candidates questions on key issues.

The forum was held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Carrasco Room at Midland College. The next event will be held on October 15.

Attendees of the first forum included Tom Craddick and Spencer Bounds, both running for the Texas State Representative of the 82nd district. Others in attendance include County Judge candidates Steven Schafersman and Terry Johnson.

During the October 15 forum, candidates for the MISD School Board in districts 5 and 6 will be there, as well as those vying for the City Council 2 at-large seats.
