A woman was arrested after leading Texas Department of Public Safety troopers on a chase through two Central Texas counties.

DPS said that it happened on Wednesday, Sept. 26 just after 11:15 a.m. Troopers attempted to stop a Toyota passenger car after the driver failed to drive in a single lane.

The driver, identified as Andromeda Kirkland, 21, who was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 near Bruceville-Eddy, did not stop and continued to travel on I-35 through McLennan County and Hill County. The car came to a stop after a tire blow out occurred and Kirkland struck a concrete barrier.

Kirkland was charged with evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and failure to identify.

Officials say that the car was reported stolen.
