Some local first responders are getting new vehicles and electronics.

On Tuesday, the Belton City Council voted to approve this year’s Capital Equipment Replacement Fund for over $400,000.

The new funding covers city equipment all around but dedicates a good chunk to the police and fire departments.

Along with new computers and tablets, the first responders will get some new vehicles which the city said is covered in the budget.

The fire department will get a new engine worth and the police department can expect a new Crime Scene Unit vehicle.
