A petition is calling for the removal of the Bell County Justice of the Peace who set a $4 billion bond for a murder suspect back in 2017.
The petition calls to have Bell County Justice of the Peace Claudia Brown removed from office.
Brown set a record-breaking $4 billion bond for Killeen murder suspect Antonio Willis.
The hearing is set for Feb. 4.
If the jury finds the allegations of the petition to be true, she will lose her title.
A pretrial hearing is set for Dec. 3.
Judge Stephen Abels, presiding judge of the Sixth Administrative Judicial Region in Kerrville, wants all pretrial matters before him and concluded before that date.
