Starting next week, I-35 in Temple is set to be closed off due to construction.
On Oct. 8-9, the I-35 southbound lanes near 57th Street will be closed off from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. The southbound traffic will detour off I-35 at exit #301.
Travelers will be directed through the Central and Adams Avenue intersections by police officers and flaggers and will re-enter I-35 before S. Loop 363.
On Oct. 10, the I-35 northbound lanes near 57th Street will be closed off from 7 p.m.-7 a.m. and on Oct. 11 from 9 p.m.-7 a.m. The northbound traffic will detour off I-35 at exit #300.
Travelers will be directed through Central and Adams Avenue and will re-enter I-35 at Central Avenue.
Police officers and flaggers will be present to direct travelers through these areas on all four nights. Travelers are encouraged to seek alternate routes during this time and are reminded to obey all warning and detour signs.
This work will take place with the weather permitting.
