Three Copperas Cove students were involved in a car accident on Friday.
According to Copperas Cove ISD, the three students are all band members of the Pride of Cove Band.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said that the accident happened Friday morning near the intersection of FM 1113 and FM 580 in Topsey.
DPS said that the students were in a Toyota pickup truck that was traveling westbound. A Chevy pickup truck was traveling northbound on FM 580 when it collided with the Toyota after it pulled into an intersection.
The teens in the Toyota, ranging in age from 14-16, were all taken to the hospital for injuries. The driver of the Chevy was taken to an unknown medical facility by private vehicle.
DPS said that the 14-year-old that was sitting the bed of the truck was thrown from the vehicle on impact.
The band were absent for the high school football game, as all three students are a part of the band.
The crash is still under investigation.
